Jacket Test System
Hydrostatic Test Systems
For the hydrostatic testing of high pressure cylinders we provide complete system solutions for all requirements whether they require volumetric or proof pressure test methods for IDEST, ASSET, UKAS, DoT and all equivalent requirements globally.
Our jacket test systems can accommodate most cylinder sizes although we can also make jackets to suit specific cylinder requirements on request. Each system comes with a test panel fitted with hydro pump, master and working gauges, burette and all associated connections, we can also provide various other items such as cylinder test adaptors, quick release clamps, built-in over pressure devices etc… The test jacket features a coned lid to allow easy removal of air trapped in the system, quarter turn valves for water in/out and burst disc assembly.
Our non-jacket test system features a larger test panel with several burettes dependant on range of cylinders to be tested with additional valves and connections to meet the requirements of non-jacket volumetric testing.

HY-PAC Standard
Over Pressure Devices
To meet the control device requirements of standards such as BS EN ISO 18119 Octopus Test Systems developed HY-PAC (Hydrostatic Pressure Automatic Cutoff). HY-PAC features a contact gauge to be fitted into the hydrostatic pressure circuit and a control box with solenoid valve fitted into the low pressure hydro pump air supply. The contact gauge is set to the desired over pressure prior to testing, if during testing an over-pressure situation occurs the contact gauge will trip sending a signal to the control box which in turn closes the solenoid valve which isolates the LP air supply so stopping the hydropump from increasing the pressure any further. The system also provides a significant advantage over conventional mechanical relief valves where the over pressure setting can be adjusted in seconds which is of particular benefit when dealing with multiple test pressures.
HY-PAC is a ‘fail-safe’ device so any loss of system power or failure to power up the device when testing means the air supply to the hydropump is isolated so no system pressure increase can occur. HY-PAC is available as the Standard System for use when testing single SCUBA cylinders up to 15 litres or HY-PAC-Industrial which features a high flow solenoid valve when testing greater volume cylinders
with larger hydropumps e.g. 50 litre Industrial Gas.

Inspection Equipment
Good quality thread gauges are a very important part of any cylinder test station’s equipment. We supply a wide range of thread gauges for the main cylinder threads such as M18, M25, G3/4, G5/8 and a range of tapered threads with UKAS calibration certification available.
Marking & Stamping
We supply a range of hand stamps from standard 0-9 and A-Z in various sizes and we also offer a custom stamp service to your requirements for test house identification or other unique identifiers.

Shot Blaster
Internal Shot Blasting & Tumbling
Our internal shot blasting and tumbling machines clean all cylinder internal surfaces removing rust, general contamination and corrosion build-up without removing the base material.
The Shot Blaster uses either steel grit for steel cylinders or glass beads for aluminium cylinders which flow under pressure through the mixing pot which is then boosted at the nozzle with higher pressure air creating a venturi action to ensure optimum results. Used grit is blown back into a dust bag with excess air released through an air filter and the grit can then be reclaimed back into the system by a gravity feed. The system allows full internal surface coverage by way of a rotating nozzle driven by a geared motor and axial travel with a pneumatic piston with speed of travel user adjustable to provide a rapid and very effective internal cleaning system.
The Tumbler Pro uses ceramic media inside the cylinder and rotation provided by a geared motor to rotate two cylinders simultaneously to provide the abrasive cleaning action. The system is provided with a top cover which has a limit switch built-in to ensure the system will only operate with the guard in place.
